Q: What kind of device do deaf people use if they need for a telephone?

A: The device is called a TTY.

Q: What are the communication skills deaf people know?

A: The deaf people know how to sign, write back and forth, oral, communication, and body language.

 

Q: Can deaf people read lips?

A: Yes and No, it depends on deaf people needs.

Q: Can Deaf people go to college and get a degree?

A: Of course they can, we are not deaf and dumb, we can do it!!!

Q: Do deaf people wear hearing aids?

A: Some do, some don't, it depends on deaf people mood or choice. (Some hearing aids may not work on some individuals.)

Q: How can deaf people understand watching movies on T.V.

A: Deaf people have the caption decoder box hooked up to the T.V.

Q: What services do deaf people need for school or the real world?

A: The services are interpreters, notetakers, door-strobe, fire strobe.

Q: Do deaf people get SSI?

A: Some do, some don't.

Q: Are deaf people safe drivers when they sign to the passengers?

A: No, it not good because you never know the risk and the result. (There are no proof that Deaf people are dangerous drivers.)

Q: Are deaf people the same as hearing people?

A: All I can say they are being equal, only is that deaf people can't hear while hearing people can hear.

Q: Can deaf people attend high school sports on the hearing team?

A: Yes, of course, like I said Deaf people are equal to hearing people.
